I work at Rackspace on Cloud APIs and Standards. Besides working on OpenStack, I also chair the HTTP Working Group in the IETF (where we're working on HTTP/2.0), and am active in both the IETF and W3C.

In the past, I've worked on HTTP implementations like Squid and Apache Traffic Server, been a sysadmin at large companies and universities, and served as general protocol and standards expert at companies like Yahoo! and Akamai. I've also edited the specification for Atom, as well as a bunch of the WS-* specs.
