Jim Lussier

Jim joined Dell in late 2011 to set up and run a corporate venture capital group for Dell. The role of the group is to make investments in emerging technology companies to help Dell achieve its strategic objectives, increase the dialog with the emerging technology ecosystem of VCs and entrepreneurs on how Dell can add value, and drive a point of view within Dell on emerging technology opportunities. Key technology areas strategic to Dell include: cloud computing and virtualization, converged infrastructure, virtual appliances, big data, security, and mobility.















Prior to joining Dell, Jim spent the last decade as a general partner at Norwest Venture partners, a global venture capital firm based in Silicon Valley, known for its investments companies including Rackspace, KACE and Lifesize Communications. Prior to that Jim managed the Electronics and High Technology Strategy practice for Accenture and was vice president and general manager of an eCommerce company selling software over the internet that went public. Jim also held executive positions at Metaphor, a pioneer in business intelligence which became a subsidiary of IBM and Booz Allen and Hamilton.
